Actions Taken by States/Organizations Other than the Virginia Board of Medicine
Last Updated 12/13/2025
Practitioner has had a disciplinary action taken by a professional licensing board in a state other than Virginia, or by a federal health institution, federal agency, or the voluntary surrender of a license in a state other than Virginia while under investigation
Date: 2014
Entity Taking Action: committee of the TX medical board NOT the full board. Not final, not formal.
Action Taken: Non-formal non-final ineligibility for initial TX licensure. Refer to ltr from my TX atty in april
Date: 2019
Entity Taking Action: KS medical board
Action Taken: In 2015 the KS Medical Board denied my application for licensure. I strongly disagreed with this action it was stayed pending judicial review. Following court review the 2015 order was vacated and remanded based on errors in deciding the case. In 2017 the Board, on remand, issued a new order to deny my application. That order was also stayed pending judicial review. In March 2019 the court affirmed the 2017 board order, making it final. I strongly disagree with the decision to deny my licensure in Kansas, but have decided that further dispute over the application is cost-prohibitive.
Date: 2019
Entity Taking Action: NC medical board
Action Taken: I entered into a consent order with the North Carolina Medical Board, accepting a reprimand based on the final order issued by the Kansas Medical Board that denied my application for licensure. The NC Board determined that the facts and circumstances of the case did not warrant or require a restriction or limitation to be placed on my North Carolina license to practice medicine. This is based solely on the KS action from 2017 not a new allegation.
Date: 2020
Entity Taking Action: Ohio Medical Board
Action Taken: reprimand/1 yr probation in response to the '17 KS action. Not a new issue. Not a restriction.
Date: 2021
Entity Taking Action: Illinois Medical Board
Action Taken: probation....until completed OH probation.
