Action Taken: I was charged with unprofessional conduct for dispensing homeopathic medicine and ordered to desist and placed on 2 year probation. At that time I moved to Virginia to practice medicine, with the Va Board of Medicine's knowledge. (Answered interogatories they put to me at the time). Subsequently, in 1993, I believe, the NC Medical Statues were ammended, allowing for physicians to practice unconventional therapies without censure in the absence of risk of harm.
