A “reprimand and fine” was issued on 9/23/20 for inadequate supervision of an RN, Tina Richardson, who owns her own med-spa in Staunton VA named Body Essence. All 3 physicians, including myself associated with her practice were reprimanded by the Board for signing standing orders for services performed at Body Essence without personally examining or being present for the procedure. The board deemed that the physicians associated were essentially aiding Ms. Richardson in the practice of medicine without a license.
