Practitioner has had an action taken by healthcare institutions, other practitioners, insurance companies, health maintenance organizations or professional organizations that resulted in a suspension or revocation of privileges or the termination of employment Date: 2023
Entity Taking Action: Akahi Associates
Action Taken: On the 25th of August, I received a letter from Akahi associates with concerns to be corrected. One of the concerns was working outside the timeframes of the clinic schedule. Despite my efforts with the new EMR and low staff manning, and covering for other absent providers, I worked outside clinic hours on Saturday the 28th of October and was terminated 6 Nov 2023. The termination was not due to clinical deficiencies, malpractice, nor non-professional conduct. It was due to work hours in excess of what was allowed in the contract.
