Entity Taking Action: Commonwealth of PA Bureau of Professional & Occupational Affairs
Action Taken: Without admitting guilt a Consent Agreement was entered into with the stipulations that a civil penalty in the amount of $5000 would be paid (paid-in-full November, 1999) and a continuing medical education course entitled, Mini-Residency in the Proper Prescribing of Controlled Substances, would be completed. The course included 44 hours of CNIE and was completed in October 2000. The Board of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania felt that the sanctions imposed were adequate and did not report to the National Practitioner Data Bank.
